Alpha-synuclein is a member of the synuclein family, which also includes beta- and gamma-synuclein. Synucleins are abundantly expressed in the brain and alpha- and beta-synuclein inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. SNCA may serve to integrate presynaptic signaling and membrane trafficking. Defects in SNCA have been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson disease. SNCA peptides are a major component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed SK-MEL-28 (H) cell; Triton X-100 at r.t. for 20 min; Antibody incubation with (Alpha-synuclein) monoclonal Antibody, unconjugated (bsm-41830M) 1:100, 90 min at 37°C; followed by conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG antibody (green, bs-40296G-FITC) at 37°C for 90 min, DAPI (blue, C02-04002) was used to stain the cell nuclei. PBS instead of the primary antibody was used as the blank control.
