Enables 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase activity; phospholipase activator activity; and phospholipase binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cell surface receptor signaling pathway; regulation of protein kinase activity; and regulation of signal transduction. Acts upstream of or within intracellular signal transduction. Located in cell projection; cytosol; and plasma membrane. Implicated in prostate cancer. Biomarker of lung non-small cell carcinoma. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Nov 2021] Function: Phosphorylates and activates not only PKB/AKT, but also PKA, PKC-zeta, RPS6KA1 and RPS6KB1. May play a general role in signaling processes and in development (By similarity). Isoform 3 is catalytically inactive. Subunit: Interacts with NPRL2. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Note=Membrane-associated after cell stimulation leading to its translocation. Tyrosine phosphorylation seems to occur only at the plasma membrane. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (mouse liver tissue); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with (PDPK1) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-2739R) at 1:400 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit(Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
